The model, before the call.
We would rather you understand how the bill is built than be surprised by it. There are two ways to run CosmoTrace and they are priced differently because the costs fall differently. Neither charges you per gigabyte ingested. There are no figures on this page; they depend on your estate, and we will put them in writing after one conversation.
Managed
Per node, plus usage
We run the stream and the lake in a region you choose. You pay a base fee per node running the agent, which covers collection, coverage reporting, policy, and a usage allowance sized to a typical node. Usage above the allowance is billed as overage on the storage and query the lake actually did — not on raw bytes that arrived at the stream and were routed to cold.
Because economy-class data skips the hot tier, most of what makes other bills grow does not count against the allowance at all.

On your hardware
A capacity-band licence
You run the same artifacts in your datacenter or your cloud account. We do not see your data and cannot meter it, so the licence is a band: the number of nodes and the lake capacity you intend to run. Move up a band when you grow; we do not audit you down one.
Support and updates are included in the band. The images you run are the ones we run for managed customers, signed and versioned the same way.

Buy the parts you use
- Per-node · CosmoEdge + CosmoStream
- The minimum, and the unit everything else is priced against. Collection, coverage, signed policy, and a copy to the tools you already run. Many estates start here to cut what reaches those tools.
- + CosmoLake
- Add when you want to own storage and query. Turns the overage meter on for managed, or sets the capacity band for on-prem.
- Analytics · CosmoConsole + Ops Agent
- Timelines, evidence graph, findings, and unattended investigation. Ops Agent is included with the console, not sold as an add-on. Phase two; priced when it ships.
- Enterprise · private control plane
- Residency and isolation for regulated estates, with Hub and Seal. Phase two.
Modules share one hierarchy and one coordinate, so adding one later does not mean re-collecting or re-indexing anything.
